Software Company Moving Headquarters to Katy Texas

Jurat Software a Canadian company recently announced it was moving its corporate headquarters to Katy Texas so the company could be closer to its oil/energy industry clients. Jurat has leased office space in the Katy Commerce Center off Park row and near Westgreen. It is expected that 20 - 50 workers will be occupying the new office. Jurat Software specializes in developing software which facilities the interaction between internal and external stakeholders in different types of companies. Jurat also performs software application hosting services; data migration services; client consulting; system implementation; business data services; and many types of training.

The company began in 2002 in Australia. Today Jurat has subsidiaries in Australia, New Zealand, and is incorporated in Canada. Clients are located in North America, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.  

I believe it is always good news for any city/area when a company relocates it headquarters group or any operating unit to that city/area. Many times companies relocate inside the city of Houston and not specifically to the Katy area.  Katy benefits from these types of corporate changes as workers often times want to move to the Katy area due to the excellent schools (Katy ISD). Needless to say but the Katy Economic Development Council is very happy with Jurat’s decision and believes Jurat has excellent potential for future growth.
