Sunset at the OASIS

The OASIS on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas is a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is unique in that you have individual tiered cliffs with seating arrangements to enjoy the view of the lake. This is a great place to capture the sun, watch someone getting married, witness an engagement proposal, celebrate a birthday, or dinner with friends. After dinner there are shops to explore and statues galore. For a relaxing get-away, I recommend the OASIS on Lake Travis.

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments. The 2011 TAR Convention was fabulous and the little trip to the Oasis at Travis Lake was a bonus! I was also pleasantly surprised to see how similar it looked to Italy. So if you're dreaming about taking a vacation, but Europe is out of reach, consider Austin and be sure to visit the Oasis. From what I was told, the place had a fire several years ago and has been completely restored, looking better than ever; however, the views haven't changed a bit.

As I sat on the tiered cliffs, I could feel a breeze, something I hadn't felt in a long time. The warmth of the waiters was just right. The sunset was truly worth seeing and the camaraderie of friends was welcoming and exactly what I needed.

Truly, this was a place that gave me a sense of peace and happiness. I wish you ALL could have joined me and I hope you are all doing well, seeing new places, enjoying new and old friends, doing well in business and having the best that life can give. You ALL deserve it!
