Condo   Staged Condo Design To Market

Look at the images on the left...the "before shots" and look at the "afters" on the right.  Compare the 3 homes.  What do these properties have in common?  What is different?

In common:

  1. These Cincinnati homes were staged by Design To Market
  2. These Cincinnati homes were not ready to put on the market before they were staged by Design To Market
  3. All three of these homes were listed within the last 2 months
  4. All three of these homes sold within 3 weeks of staging

Differences:

  1. These homes ranged in price from $68,000 to $450,000
  2. These homes were in Anderson, White Oak, and West Chester
  3. 2 of these homes were single family and one was a townhome

Why does this matter?

Staging works for all price ranges, all locations, and all types of homes.  The budget for staging can be a few hundred dollars or it can be a few thousand.  The most important thing is that staging is one of the most effective tools to achieve a faster and more profitable sale!

Design To Market has been staging homes in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky since 2004. For more information about this project and our other Cincinnati home staging services please call us at 513-265-0952 or visit our website at www.designtomarketllc.com.

Jo-Staging makes all the difference.  It's an investment, not an expense.  And there is an appropriate budget for all homes.

I completely love a staged home... it is sad when homeowners don't want to put the little bit of money into it!

Hi Jo--Wow--great staging.  Such dramatic "before" and "after" photos.  You are right it shouldn't and doesn't matter about either price point or location.  In today's market a seller should stage or risk a long listing time and many price reductions.  That blue carpeting in the first photo would not appeal to any buyers, nor would the brick back splash and that wallpaper in the kitchen.

The blue carpet definitely had to go.  Sometimes it is tough for sellers to do this when the practical side of a dark carpet is considered.  It looked like new...and probably always will!

Jo I love that this post shows homes with such diverse price points -- the public needs to know that staging works in ALL price categories!  Congrats on the quick sales!

Ditto Maureens comment above -- excellent point regarding the differences in the properties yet receiving the same results of a quick sale

Maureen,

I think all of us in the staging profession have a huge opportunity to get the word out on the importance of staging at ALL price points.  The homeowner selling the $68,000 condo is as motivated as the seller with the $600,000 home.  The reasons for selling are usually the same the budget to get them ready just changes!

Jo,

Staging does matter, at every level, and this is a great example of that.  Our average time on the market of all price levels combined is 3 weeks.  Much better than time on the market of non-staged properties.  Staging works and numbers don't lie!

I think it is also important to note the work that went into the 1st and 2nd homes prior to our delivering the furniture.  These sellers both took all of our recommendations to heart and changed carpet, painted, removed wallpaper, etc.  We helped manage the entire process for both of these homeowners and enabled them to move quickly to get the work done.  These homes were truly move in ready!
