Mission Creek Cleanup

All right fellow SOMA, and Mission Bay residents it's time to roll up those sleeves and put in some elbow grease.  California Coastal Cleanup Day is this Saturday 9/17/11.

Cleanups are taking place all over California bays, rivers, creeks, coasts and highways and if you'd like to get involved, come on down to our neighborhood waterway Mission Creek.

Sadly, Mission Creek was named one of the most polluted waterways in the Bay Area by Save the Bay.  The various homeless camps found down the creek, the post-Giant's game litter, and storm drains flowing into the creek have turned the spot into a trash receptacle.

But you can help.  Come out on Saturday armed with sunscreen and a reusable water bottle and everything else will be there for you.
