The winds have died down quite a bit now, and hopefully this will help tremendously in the heroic efforts to combat the numerous wildfires that have cropped up in many locations around southern California.

Although Walnut Cove was not threatened by the fires (the neighborhood is several miles from any brush or forest covered open land), the area is not immune to the ravages of the wind itself.  From what I have seen, there does not appear to be any significant damage.  However, a number of trees in the neighborhood have suffered broken branches, and some trees have even been completely knocked over.

These kinds of things pale in comparison to the treble devastation suffered by so many in the fire areas, but still require owners to spend time and monetary recourses to remedy the damage done.
