The Santa Cruz County Fair kicked off this Tuesday, and runs until the 18th. Locals can enter their crafts, recipes and more in contests for ribbons, and visitors can enjoy such events as horse shows and dirt track car racing at the Ocean Speedway. The fair takes place at Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville, off Highway 152. Adult tickets are $10 each, and kids' tickets are $5, and parking is $5. Come out and see all the great products of the County!
If you're an art lover, you can spend upcoming weekends viewing the work of local artists in the Santa Cruz Open Studios tour program. Given studios are open from 11 am to 5 pm on their designated days, and calendars featuring the work on display can be purchased for $20. Get out and see the people working so hard to contribute to Santa Cruz's thriving art and cultural scene!
