Our beautiful Burbank, The City of Burbank also known as "The Media Capital of the World" has been selected as one of the top finalists for the "Most Business Friendly City in L.A. County" for a second year in a row.  What an honor. This honor is awarded by LAEDEC Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation.  Burbank was selected by a blue ribbon panel of judges for the City's commitment to attracting and retaining businesses that provide quality jobs for its residents.

Some of the reasons why Burbank has been selected are:

• Burbank has economic incentives that encourage Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED's) certified developments.
• Burbank also has made a major commitment to existing and new businesses by supplying high capacity fiber optics to commercial users: free wi-fi service in the downtown area; and an excellent multi-modal transportation network that links Metrolink train services and Burbank Bus to employment centers throughout the city.
• City of Burbank also has no city income tax, no gross receipts tax, competitive utility user taxes, and several resource conservation programs that benefit businesses.
• An analysis of the nominations shows that fees within Burbank are among the lowest in the region, and are simple and highly competitive.
