Using picnik.com to edit your pictures for your blog...Some before and after pictures
If you're not aware of picnik.com then you really should head over there and check it out. I know I've written a post in the past and well as many other folks here on AR, but this is a program I use all the time to enhance my pictures so thought I'd give it another plug. It's a free program for lots of stuff..but for around $25 you can do lots more with it. Here are some pictures that I've "Picniked" that might otherwise not have been as good..or clear, or just plain cool!
This is an old Mill I came across that was next to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I didn't have my camera with me this day (yeah, my bad), but snapped this with my 3G I-phone anyway.
You can see after putting this picture through picnik.com, the colors pop, I was able to crop out and resize as well.
\ Now this one was taken with my regular camera...big difference than my I-Phone, and the day was sunny
I played around with it and thought this looked pretty cool!
We all know that the best time to take pictures is in the morning, or late afternoon..but sometimes we just need to take pictures when we can. On this day it was really sunny and the sun was not working in my favor. Also, the neighbor had parked their car where it was in the way of the angle I needed to get the picture so the sun didn't show those beams.
I was able to go into picnik.com and crop out the house and car on the left, clarify, and bring out the colors of the trim.
\This picture was taken out on the boat when we were on the Willamette River. It's not easy taking pictures on a moving boat!
I was able to again, give it focus and pop..and I think the frame makes anything into art.
I liked this one so much, I made it into my header for my blog!
