Anaheim, California in Orange County is waiting to hear from two different people who have recently won close to $300,000 each.

Why are they waiting?  Because the tickets are set to expire on September 19.  When the next day arrives, the mystery winners will be unable to collect their winnings and the state will keep the funds to use for California schools.

According to the California State Lottery, lottery winners have 180 days to claim their prizes and collect their winnings.  If they fail to collect, then the unclaimed funds are transferred to California schools.

With Enthusiasm,

Jeffrey M. Richman
