This seems to be a question I am asked all the time. It seems you have plenty to do and blogging looks like a huge investment of time!
As a coach, I hear this about lots of different tasks when I work with my clients. We live hectic, time crunched lives for the most part, trying to have it all. And, as I've noted, you can have it all...just not all at the same time!
If you are struggling with this, rather than one of the blogoholics that could spend all their time on their blogs, here is a suggestion: Time block! This answer to finding the time is quite simple and can be used for all those important, but not urgent things you know would make a difference.
Initially, your blog will take some time when you are getting it set up and optimizing it, but once you have the basics done, the best way to make it work is to put on your calendar appointments for blogging. When are you at you most creative? The beginning of the day is my best time. Whatever yours is, that is when to schedule a half an hour, maybe 2-3 times a week to tend to your blogging. Read and comment. Write a post. And, then get on with it. Make it a habit and it'll be like brushing your teeth!!!
You have the same amount of time as Bill Gates! Are you using it effectively????
Great blog Joeann! My wife introduced me to the idea of a schedule and blocking time for meetings, working out, and (of course) blogging, and it saves time, and in the end money. Thanks for sharing!
