 McNeese State University Fans gathered to kick off the 2011 Football Season last weekend September 17th. The Cowboys won their season opener against the Sioux Falls Cougars 31-17!

You can always find some good food and fun in the McNeese tailgate tents!  One advantage to being in a great tailgate spot is  McNeese fans are in the heart of the   spirit when the Cowgirl Kickers and the McNeese Band make their way through the crowd!

Anyone who has ever attended McNeese State or been to a McNeese State football game will recognize the traditional Joile Blonde tune that gets everyone swaying and clapping at McNeese State Cowboy games. Joile Blonde is known as the traditional cajun waltz or Cajun National Anthem

Part of the tradition of Mcneese State Football is the "Cowboy Walk" when the players make the walk to Cowboy Stadium.

University subdivision is a popular "flip" area with homes being redone since most of the homes being 40 years old and also several mutli unit complexes nearby for sale!
