Microsoft VS Apple

As of today Microsoft still controls about 90% of the pc market but Apple is slowly starting to chip away at its dominance. I am MSFT is trading at 35 and some change and might finally make a move to the lower 40's for the first time in years! Appl on the other hand is trading at 185 and some change and does not look like it is looking back anytime soon.

Who here on active rain will buy a new apple with there new leapoard OS loaded on it or will everyone stick with the PC with Vista. Just curious to what everyones' thoughts are or opinions. Also both of these companies are great buys, you should look into them!

I won't buy an APPLE because I am not familiar with their software and programs! Vista still has some bugs from what I understand and I am going to plan on sticking with what I have for at least the next year or so before I make any decisions!

Ahhhh, your topic caught my eye... the apple in it... ha.

I am a MAC lover and lived on my G4 Powerbook for 3 years. The best computer I've owned and I've had 6 to date.

One day shortly after I had invested $4,000 into my system... my lovely MLS decided they would no longer be compatible with MAC and shortly after my company joined forces...I had to use three different computers for 3 years! Two PC's home/office and my PB...Frustrating and annoying to say the least. I finally purchased a new HP laptop with Vista (Yuck to both) and I miss my MAC terribly...I was ready to purchase the MacBook Pro and stay married to Apple my whole life and career...Anyone in Ohio, think twice before purchasing a MAC as it's going to bring you heartache when you learn that our real estate system online here is one sided... I learned the hardway but will still be a fan forever! (Buy one for fun if you can.)

I am using Vista on my laptop at the office and for work and have an iMac at home. I use the Mac for everything and have Parallels installed so I can access work stuff. I really like being back on a Mac as I was a user about 15 years ago. It's a stable platform with the exception of Microsoft Entourage, which crashes all of the time -- nothing new there same issue different platform. As for Vista, I hate it. My laptop was new in January and came it with it and it operates like a slug. Unfortunately I need to use a PC because not all things I need to do for real estate are supported on the Mac, Safari or Firefox, just IE.
