Mona - OMG! What awesome graphics! These graphics would be great in a flip book presentation with a cool cover followed at the end with the rest of the photos. Now the hard tough questions regarding SEO....WHO....WHERE....HOW TO REACH? Perhaps do a series of posts in different locations...using the hyper-local links. Perhaps purchase a email list of targeted people? I will be interested in coming back to read your other comments on this one as well as thinking about it to see if I can come up with any ideas. Gotta go for now...but will be back! :)
I am back! I just googled youtube super hero comic figures and came up with a bunch of stuff - perhaps checking some of these out might give you an idea.
BTW - I did see the comment below and agree that this is indeed a limited buyer; however, I would hate covering this up as it might just be the right lure for that one special buyer. The graphics seem to be fun for a vacation home. I would have the seller get an estimate of what it would cost to paint over and include this in his price is a buyer wanted this. Just thinking. If buyers are looking and not liking....not buying because of the graphics.....that is another issue. Good luck!
Honestly, I'd consider painting over that artwork with a more neutral color. You'll have 10% of potential buyers who like those comics plastered all over one bedroom and 90% of potential buyers who don't want the hassle of painting over it themselves if they buy the home. Maybe not what you wanted to hear, but I think you'll have quicker success this way.
Hi Barbara, you can't imagine what its like to be in that basement with all that talent. I'm interested in seeing what everyone else comes up with too. Thanks for your suggestion, I'll try it.
Jacki, sure it's possible that is exactly what the buyer will do- but how heartbreaking...and since the sellers are willing to try something a little more outside the box, why not try to offer this amazing collection to someone who might appreciate it. If a buyer has a good agent and don't want to repaint themselves - seems like that is a negotiable point. Also, this is the basement - there are three neutral bedrooms in the main living space. I understand and appreciate your comment - it makes sense for a quick sale...but, it makes as much sense to practice our SEO skills and maybe catch that 10% who might be all over this treasure.
Mona, what a fun challenge! These are very impressive! I could imagine that some kids would just be blown away by it - sort of an "Amazing Makeover" reaction and would love to sleep there. Can you sequence them and create a flyer that looks like a page out of a comic book? Maybe hang it at the library, ... those quaint coffee shops? No SEO though ...
The way these folks use it is as a vacation cabin and when all the family shows up, they pile all the kids into this downstairs area and they have a blast. With all the restrictions on advertising with the fair housing rules the wording gets tricky, and to just feature all these graphics in routine advertising will turn a lot of folks off. So the challenge is to get this out there to a targeted audience that will see the potential without it having to be spelled out for them.
I see teenagers . . . especially boys. What a COOL room, not just for the adult comic book aficionado, but for a boy who wants to be cool with his friends. Even younger kids would love this artwork. I found the most amazing virtual tour the other day. Keep trying to figure out how to use something similar. I'll send it to you.
Hey Mona, What a quandary. Looks like some great art work, but who could sleep with those eyes looking at you all night.
I would hate to loose such a great job with the graphic's but not everyone will like it.
Might want to make it a baby's nursery.
Have a great day, Clint McKie
Hi Andrea, they are amazing paintings. I'll give your idea of a brochure some thought, thanks for the suggestion.
Hey Leslie, I'm thinking we need to send the listings and these blogs to Keith D. He might have the right audience for us.
Hello Mimi, thanks for the link! This is an incredibly cool and awesome basement, the colors are so bright and vibrant...get this, when the lights are out, the colors glow.
Hi Clint, Guess we'd have to put you in the bunkbed near Wonder Woman, lol.
those graphics are unbelievable!! wow.. I love making a home YOURS.. this really fits that bill huh?
This so funny Sheila, do you know how often you and I simulaneously post to each other's blog !?!?!? Those graphics really belong in a Modern Art Museum.
