I think a majority of gloom and doomers are that way because they read the business news everyday. At least in my part of the country, I almost see news daily about how bad home sales are and foreclosures are at a record high, with no end in site.

 With that said people are still buying homes in my area, as a matter of fact I just had my biggest closing ever 2 weeks ago, with my new biggest closing hopefully coming up this weekend if they find the right house. The problem is both of these buyers where aquired about 3-6 months ago and they are relocating to my area. After this buyer I will have no active house hunters. So I'm getting a little nervous waiting for the phone to ring.

The good news about the current market is a lot of realtors are going to leave the business, leaving more business for the dedicated long term realtors.
