Playing in the rain!

Playing in the rain finally took on a new meaning yesterday!

Yep, we finally got some relief from the 100+ degree weather and the firefighters got some help as the rain came down yesterday.

Still looking for some today, but it seems slow in coming...thunder, but no wet stuff yet!

I see the forecast has rain in our future at least for the next few days so, we can always hope! Rain and just over 90 degrees for the temps...finally a break from the 100 degree days! I was told today that some places are already starting to see SNOW, but I'll be danged if we're going to see anything like that! I'm just glad that with the rain, the chances for the terrible fires we've seen in George Bush Park, Grand Parkway, and other areas around Katy are diminished.

The good news is that the rain didn't stop the Katy Tigers from moving to 3-0 on the season by bulldozing West Brook, 42-7.

I'm sure the cooling is a very welcome relief, and the rain must have felt like a blessing.

I hope you get rain soon.  Our temperatures have cooled off a little in California.  Take care.  The rain will come.

Ron, glad you had some rain and a drop in temperature.  We are the area that is receiving snow.  Three days ago the peaks were definately dusted, luckily no snow in-town yet.  It appears we are going to have a quick fall this year.  Hope your temps stay down and you get some more rain to help the firefighters.  --Krystal
