Milton, West Virginia is the home of the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival. Its strategic location between West Virginia's largest metropolitan areas of Charleston and Huntington, has contributed to its rank as one of the fastest growing festivals in the state.

Started in 1985, the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival was designed to help farmers with the raising and selling of pumpkins. The festival is held at the West Virginia Pumpkin Park in Milton, WV on October 6 - 9, 2011 and features a variety of activities for the entire family.

What a colorful post! Wish we had some of the Fall colors that you have. One of my fondest memories is driving in West Virginia in the spring when there was an amazing display of dogwoods and azaleas in full bloom. It's like the mountains were covered with lace. Breathtakingly beautiful!
