BOO!! Kings Island Halloween Haunt Opens Friday September 23rd!
If you like being thrilled, both on and off the roller coasters, then this is THE event of the year for you! Kings Island is pulling out all the stops to put the Haunt in Halloween! Halloween Haunt is the biggest area event and you know the makeup artists will be working overtime to get the ghouls, zombies, werewolves and vampires ready to frighten you!
WARNING: This event isn't intended for the really young ones 13 and under! You're responsible for all nightmares and therapy costs if you bring them! Also, no masks or costumes allowed.
With EIGHT indoor horror mazes and FOUR outdoor mazes, this event isn't for the faint hearted! Mix in an horror themed indoor show to add to the fun!
And did you know the Half Pint Brawlers will be back? These small sized wrestlers offer a super sized entertainment for you!
And since we're in an amusement park, you don't think all the rides would be closed do you? Windseeker, The Beast, Delirium, Diamondback, Drop Tower, Firehawk, Flight of Fear, Invertigo, Racer, Vortex and MORE will all be available to twist your stomach!
And this year if you've got the extra dollars to spare, Kings Island is offering some premium line cutting, with the Fright Lane ticket giving you limited head of the line privileges for the mazes, and Fast Lane gets you to the front of the lines for the rides. You're going to pay at LEAST $20 extra for these limited tickets.....and maybe a few dirty looks from those folks who've been standing in line!
So what is the event going to cost? We'll we'd recommend buying your tickets to Kings Island Halloween Haunt online and get the discounted price! Friday nights are $24.99 ($12 off) and Saturdays are $29.99 ($23 off). Expect they'll tag your for parking too!
When is the event? Fridays and Saturdays from September 23rd through October 29th! Normal hours are Fridays 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., with the 8 indoor mazes open at 5 p.m., and the full scary Haunt experience fully engaged by 7 p.m. NOTE: Saturday September 24th a private event has the park booked during the day, so you can't get in until 7 p.m.

Leah, I'm pretty sure they'll do well :) Six weekends should be enough to scare everyone who wants to be scared!
King Island's Halloween Haunt sounds very scary BLiz! I can't go to haunted places anymore as I am still in therapy for the one I went to when I was around 7, lol :)!
Brenda, And that's why they say don't bring those under 13 years olds! :) We warned 'em!! :)
So much fun you guys! Don't you just love this time of year?
Craig, If ONLY we had the free time to enjoy it all! :)
Wow, is it that time of the year already?! The King Island Halloween Haunt should be a big hit as Halloween approaches.
Anita, We'll expect to see some good sized crowds in their parking lot. There's other Halloween attractions in our county and Cincinnati, including a haunted ship down on the Ohio River, the USS Nightmare :)
BLiz I recommend that they add over 50 the list of people to keep out:-).
Charita, LOL! :)
BLiz....I think my kids would really enjoy this! Of course, they are over 13....well, the youngest is 12 but she could probably handle it!
Christine, And who'd know better than the parent? :)
This sounds amazing! Our son and daughter-in-law just moved back to IL from Dayton a few months back. Too bad ... as my daughter-in-law LOVES Halloween and scarey rides. I'll let them know about this ... maybe they'll be interested in a weekend back towards Dayton ... thanks!
Gene
Wow, sounds like a great fun place and not too expensive!!
Thank you for sharing!
David
Gene, If they had an excuse to come back to the area, a nice side trip while they're out and about!
David, The online discounts make it not too bad! I think they tag another $12 on for parking, but you know they're going to get you. Quite the profit center!
Oh, how I love the Fall, Halloween, Hauntings, Roller Coasters...... This sounds like an amazing and totally fun event! If only I were a little closer.... please have enough fun for all of us who can't be there!
No thanks!! We have gone to both Kings Island and Cedar Point during their Halloween festivals and they scare the CRAP out of me! NO way!!
Sounds like a great time, but I'd never be able to get my wife to go to one of these. Not sure I'd want her to since she'd be creeped out all night and would be keeping me up checking on every little noise in the house.
Amy, It's ONLY a 12 hour car ride each direction! :)
Jared, We haven't been to Halloween Haunt, and I've never made it up to Cedar Point (yet). As someone who really enjoys roller coasters, I don't get to the parks very often. Bill
Greg, Liz loves horror movies, but not the slasher/gore type, so she'd probably be okay with this!
Wow Bliz, this page opened up and scared the heck out of us! If this blog is any indication of the fun that will be had it will be a frightfully great time!
Al & Peggy, The radio ads are out in full force, they're working up the crowds already :)
