Back on April 24, 2011 I wrote a post (http://actvra.in/8JR) about the Yummy Pot Luck Supper Club that I belong to ..... and this past week I received an email from Seattle, Washington from someone who read that post.  Here's what it said:

Dear Gwynn,

I just came across your post of the Neighborhood Supper Club. What a wonderful idea! Potlucks are a great way to try new dishes, get friends together, and also to share the cost and work of putting on a dinner for a large group.

On Etsy.com, my shop called moonlight55 offers very attractive, yet functional insulated kitchen items such as casserole carriers (the insulation reflects back either hot or cold to the source), double insulated, large oval pot holders and trivets as well as skillet handle covers. Also listed are items in beautiful Christmas fabrics. My design and fabrics are not what you commonly see in these type of items. Please take a look and the link is: http://www.etsy.com/shop/moonlight55?ref=si_shop.

Just wanted to pass along this info to you and your friends. Bon Appetit!

Regards,

Terry Moon

I recently got a call about the local butcher and sunflower fields...both recent blogs.  It's kinda cool to see how people are finding us!  I love activerain and I LOVE localism.  The potlucks sound like fun!

Hey Maryland Mortgage Mama "aka" Bridget!  Yea, I love hearing from strangers who actually reach out about something that I've written.  I wrote to an author of a book that I read recently and was surprised to get several emails from her....so I guess it's not just us "unknown Realtor authors" that enjoy that same excitement of hearing from others.

Keep it up....we will be famous in our own minds!

I too enjoy all publicity ... BUT I prefer marketing activities that bring me clients. I hope this brings you one ... I suspect it will.

Paul:  I've decided that I need to open the door when someone from another state writes me a comment....who knows if they may decide to move to Texas or I can help with someone they know - so I try to publicize my talents all the time.  Guess that makes it a marketing activity.....and clients are welcome at any time.

That is HUGE! Six degrees of separation and all that ... Who knows who she knows? Shows how important it is that you're well read :0)

I love that AR works like that! You never know when or where you will get a referral from!

Susan:  Thanks for the suggest...makes my heart sing!  And yes, six degrees of separation might happen...she ask if I knew several folks she knew in Austin and then a couple in California with my maiden last name!  Surely one of those is a cousin of mine...hahaha.  I'll keep writing if they will keep reading.

Maggie:  I'm waiting on that referral to come....I'm sure it's floating in the wind somewhere.  AR is like that - they like to tease you with surprises.
