5 pros and cons of buying a Northville home or Northville condo. Let me give you a few pros and cons of buying a Northville home or Northville condo.
Northville condos - Con - You have neighbors very close to you. You share a wall with them. So people are going to be in your business a little more. What I mean by that is that you can't be loud, or if you are having a family dispute your neighbors may be hearing it.
You are limited in what you can do on the outside of your condos. Condo associations like the outsides to look the same.
You may not be able to put out a flag, paint your front door a different color, put in a different bush, or put out a yard statue/ nic nac. It may be prohited
Northville condos do not appreciate as fast or as much as Northville homes. I am basing this on past experience. Northville homes tend to appreciate faster.

Pro - You don't have to take care of the outside of your Northville condo. No cleaning gutters, caulking the outside, snow shoveling, no grass cutting, no outside painting. So if you are busy professional this frees up your weekends a little bit to do other things. Or if you travel a lot you don't have to worry about having your snow shoveled for you.
You don't have to negotiate or worry about contract all those services. Your condo association board or management company does all that.

Northville homes - Pro - You can park where you want. Some Northville condo complexes tell you where your visitors can park or how many cars can be on the driveway.
You have nobody right next to you and you don't have tough association rules that control what you do outside. (Sure some neighborhood associations have some rules but, not to the degree that Northville condo association do. You can plant flowers, or change the landscape any way you want. You can paint your front door any color you want. You have freedom to do more and be more individualistic than you do in a Northville condo.
You do not have the costly monthly association dues that you would have in a Northville condo. As a homeowner you have the ability to negotiate the cost of your grass cutting, or whether you want somebody else to shovel your snow, or you can delay putting on a roof because you can't afford it.
Con - You have to maintain the outside of the house. You have to cut the grass, repair the roof, clean the gutters or pay to have somebody to it.
