Cedar Point HalloWeekends

                                                    HalloWeekends

The unsuspecting should beware….It’s that time of year again, when ghosts and ghouls will roam the Midway and special events at Cedar Point.

This is the fifteenth year in a row that Cedar Point has transformed the Amusement Park into a gallery of haunted amusements and fright zones.

With the addition of Blood on the Bayou, Cedar Point now boasts four haunted houses and six fright zones.  The fright zone theme on Frontier Trail has been changed and a new attraction, fittingly named, Screamworks, is in it’s place.  This attraction has a Steampunk theme which is a variety of science fiction and fantasy.

On the other hand, Blood on the Bayou, begins with a Hillbilly theme and zombiemorphes into a Voodoo Theme and, I’m told, is one of the scariest attractions this year.

The Park employs 425-450 actors to scare the begeebers out of you.  They are not allowed to touch you, but they embrace their roles with gusto.  Make up starts at 4 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. when the fun begins.

Haunted HouseThe ten haunted attractions include:  Four Haunted Houses (Happy Jack’s Toy Factory, G.A. Boeckling’s Eerie Estate, Club Blood, and Eternity Infirmary), and the Six Fright Zones, ( Blood on the Bayou, Screamworks, Terror Island, Corn Stalkers, CarnEvil and Fear Faire).

Little Park goers have nothing to fear as there are many attractions suitable for them such as:  The Magical House on Boo Hill and the Peanuts Halloween Show.

                                                            Halloween Magic

Live shows will continue during HalloWeekends with offerings including “The Edge of Madness---Six Feet Under” in the Red Slaughter Saloon.

HalloWeekends began on Friday, Sept. 16 and will run through Oct. 30.  Hours are from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Many visitors describe HalloWeekends as their favorite time of year at the Park.

Why not join them and see for yourself.

You know what I like about Cedar Point HalloWeekends? The Screamsters' fear of me! Every year, they try to scare me, but I always outsmart them with my Brain over Brawn wits and my lion's roar. I'm sure you've especially heard of the vampires at Club Blood, who literally turned yellow- COWARDICEyellow I might add- after my loudest lion's roar scared them out of their wits on October 08, 2011.
