Is it true that location, location, location helps sell a home? There are many factors that can determine if, in fact, the location of a home is desirable.
1) Traffic conditions – are the roads of good quality? How much congestion is there?
2) Good exterior features – is your landscaping well-maintained and/or well-designed? Is the design of your home attractive?
3) What about your area or neighborhood? Do you have good water? Are there schools, libraries, and parks in your area?
4) The product itself – how many bedrooms & bathrooms are there? What is the size of the house? Open floor plan etc.. ?
These things are contributing factors when it is determined that your home is in a good location. Location is not always just a place or a spot on the map.
Look at the big picture – the future! Do you know of future building happening on the vacant lot across the street? What is that lot zoned? Are they going to build a high-rise apartment complex across the street from you or is it zoned for another home? What other projects are approved through the town/city or county that will impact your location? This information can easily be obtained at your town/city of county government offices and/or websites. The newspaper is always great at informing of up and coming projects and buildings coming to your area.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION…. Is this true? The answer is yes, it will make a difference!
