Ok I realize that we need the rain, my grass is brown and the only things that are growing now are weeds.  I have been trying to kill these weeds for years and now I am thinking maybe I should just kill off the grass and feed the weeds!  The other day we finally received just under 3" of rain during the night and today has been gloomy, dark and wet.  At least the rain is coming down slow, and the ground may have a chance to absorb the water and my grass just might start to grow again, as will my beautiful weeds.  By the time this rain system passes over, we are estimated to get between 2 and 3 inches again. 

We have been in the middle of a drought, though we haven't been put under any mandatory water restrictions, I doubt that is going to happen now.
