As I watch the video I feel the weight of the sacrifice, I feel the anger and restraint, I feel the child’s bewilderment at her father’s indifference, I feel her awakening to what was, I feel the private hell of our fallen heroes and their families, and of our soldiers who are living and dying overseas, today. I remember my own father, a veteran. I remember! As I watch the video I feel humility and solemn respect, and then I feel hope. On November 11th and any day thereafter, take two minutes to remember. It's just a pittance of time! The Video Visit Terry's website at http://www.terry-kelly.com/introduction.htm The video is just under five minutes. It's time well spent remembering, on any given day! Thank you Terry. Lest We Forget! The Canada we have today is a gift from those who have gone before us. |
Kathy....... Thank you for such a wonderful post. Sometimes we take for granted the sacrifice of others.

That was very nice. Thank you.
It saddens me that there are so many people like that man. We are doomed to repeat history if we don't pay attention and remember it.
As a previous serviceman serving on many mission overseas. I have always been amazed that we still live in a society were we take our fredom for granted. It takes less time to pay our respects for the ones who gave us that freedom, and for the ones who currently protect that right, than it takes to lace our shoes in the morning. I hope everyone will remember that in all cases they were someones brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, mothers and fathers who gave up the chance to raise and live umongst their own in order that we can live and enjoy the good life with our families. Take a moment, Give a moment.
Thanks Kathy. its a tradition worth keeping alive.
