12 Comments on Google Analytics: A Visual Reminder of Why Consistency Counts
WOW ! Numbers don't lie. Thanks for sharing your lesson about consistency. I have seen immediate results from my short time blogging and I appreciate the reminder that this is a commitment to success for the long haul.
Consistency in anything is what the most successful people do - It is so easy to get derailed on other projects we sometimes forget what got us there in the first place. Thanks
I believe you are correct about the whole consistency thing, lol :)! I need to get my act in gear with wordpress and doing that correctly :)!
Great to see your stats also! The numbers don't lie...I have been trying to post consistently. Thanks for the info today with my blog!
Great tip. I forgot there was a scheduler. i will need to look into it. I need to do some more blog posts on my new site. As I've gotten busy, I told myself I would do 1 a week and then pump it up when things calmed down...but now I think it's been at least 3 weeks. i need to do something there this weekend a dn quick
Alison, you've made an excellent point. I'm striving to be much more consistent myself.
p.s. I did miss seeing you around.
Dear Alison ~ I suggested. I feel that this is important. I wanted to ask "niche" site? I know there are ways in analytics to run various tests for marketing, but I am not sure how... I wondered it you are able to shed some light on it & if this was one of those tests? Great example. Thanks.
Hi Pam - thanks for the suggest! I have a bunch of niche sites - some are hobbies, some are business sites for acquaintances and some others are my main business sites (so not really "niche" sites).
Tests for marking, IMHO, work best when you have a lot of traffic. More traffic = more accurate results of the testing.
I would say, unfortunately, I'm not a great source for information on marketing tests - but would be greatly appreciative if anyone else reading this would link in some companies (or articles) they find to be of value.
I can share, though, that sometimes a single well-written, key-word targeted post can attract a LOT of business. I wrote one such article for remnant granite for a local granite company (on their website) and it gets calls/emails daily - enough to fill a large percentage of their weekly closed business.
Hi Mark - you are absolutely right. We can't just focus on one thing - we have to make sure to spread the love around. I link back to my sites regularly from AR, FB, twitter, LinkedIn, etc., plus from press releases and comments left on other blogs. When I am plugging away, I see my traffic (and leads) pick up. When I slack off, I see traffic (and leads) drop off.
Thanks for the post. I keep telling myself consistency is important to keep me motivated with my postings.
