Virginia is for Lovers of Garlic... wait, really?

 

Yep, that is right! Virgina is for Lovers, lovers of Wine and Garlic too! And you can go to one great festival to get Virgina made wine and garlic!

Each year, Rebec hosts  the Virginia Wine and Garlic Festival in Amherst County VA. Its a two day event, with five stages of live music, artisans and craftsmen, wine tastings, and a separate kids area!

There will be several wineries offering tastings and wine for sale. You also can buy food laden with garlic! A wide variety of food is offered but almost all of it has a garlic theme.

This year is the 20th anniversary!

The festival is Oct 8, 9, 2011

Alright, Scott, what are you folks doing down there in Roanoke?  Wine and garlic?  I love both, but I would have never thought about the two together.  Well, I take that back.  Pasta with garlic and wine.  Now that sounds tasty.  I think I know what I'm fixing for dinner.  Have a great time.  I wish we were closer.

Outside Blog Attended Rain Camp

I've had wine from Rebec Vineyards.  Reminds me it is time to procure another bottle of their Autumn Glow.   Isn't it great to be living in VA this time of year?  So many great festivals & fairs.  Thanks for sharing.
