Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in McMinnville, OR 9/21/11
Congrats to John McCarthy for correctly guessing last weeks post Habitat for Humanity ReStore, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Newberg, OR 9/14/11. Not only did he answer it correctly, I now know what a quonset hut is!
Each week I'll be posting a new picture on Wednesday morning. The title of the blog will have the City where the picture is taken and I'll post the answer Wednesday evening...not only here on my blog, but on facebook business page (please click like and add yourself there) as well as tweetin it on my Twitter page.
Do you know where it is? Care to guess? Comments are welcome! I'll post the answer tonight.
Hint: What does a flying goose, water, and a theatre have in common?
It's the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and Water Park, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in McMinnville OR. 9/21/11
Where else can you check out the Howard Huges famous Spruce Goose and other cool aeronautics, feel what it's like to fly in the cockpit of several planes while being in the I-Max theatre..yeah..it's 3D and you FEEL right there, or slip on your bathing suit and slide down all ten of the water slides in an indoor waterpark...but the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and Water Park in McMinnville Oregon.
Dubbed the largest aircraft ever built, the Spruce Goose made it's one and only flight in 1947 with Howard Huges at the controls. With a wing span larger than a football field, this "flying boat" was HUGE! Now located at the Evergreen Aviation & Space museum in McMinnville, OR, one can see this baby up close and personal.
Need a place to take the family for the day? This is it!
