Everybody loves a cupcake right? Well I certainly do and want to share the opening of the "sweetest" place in Rye. Classic Bakeshop, founded by Rye resident Keyes Clemmer, is not just another bakeshop but a one stop shop for all things cupcake! The space is located at 30 Elm Place, Rye NY 10580 914.967.2379 and boasts a clean, chic facade. Once you enter Keyes infectious smile welcomes you and then the aroma of her scrumptious offerings sets in. I personally sampled the classic vanilla and the season appropriate pumpkin cupcake. One thing I noticed about the cupcakes is the actual cake part is a bit more dense then your average cupcake, Keye's explained that she wanted customers to actually feel like they are eating cake. There is nothing worse then getting a cupcake that has too much frosting and not enough cake or vice versa, the balance here is perfect.

All Cupcakes are baked on the premises and if you feel like having a small birthday party there you can. Keyes has taken the shop concept one step further and added a cozy party area for the kids or adult kids to bake and decorate their own goodies.
