Bullet hole close up.....in cook stove....

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage

REO's are always somewhat scary to go into.  You never know what you'll find.  I walked into this one, however, and thought I was lucky.  It looked clean for a change.  There was a a little broken tile and shattered glass but not bad.

Upon closer inspection, however, I discovered what looked like a gaping hole in the stove and another in the dishwasher.  Going outside, I could see where the holes had begun.  My locksmith and I agreed that someone had SHOT through the house.  Whether it was for spite and hatred or whether it was from a crazy neighbor or from hunters, I never found out.  But the bullets went all the way through the stove, the refrigerator and into the wall in the bedroom behind.

I thought you might like to see what damage a bullet can do.Bullet hole in stove

Barbara, amazing. Someone was not happy across the board. It's the market we are in, and this too shall pass. Thanks for the good photos.

So how'd that story end, Konnie?  That would have really been scary.

I personnaly wish someone would teach us how to detect if drug labs have operated in a property.  This is going to be more of an issue on ORE and forclosure property.

Trey, if you'll contact your local police department they'll probably send someone to speak to your Board and tell what to look for.  We have had several speakers on meth labs and what to look for so we feel much more educated.  Especially when going into foreclosure properties.

Barbara - a bullet hole in the stove? Where do you find this stuff? I thought I had heard it all. Wow, I wonder what the story was behind this one? Does this mean you can't sell a Home Warranty package in the deal?

Gary, the third picture was of the bullet hole in the dishwasher.  It went on through to the refrigerator!  I sold the house for cash!   Unfortunately.....or perhaps fortunately....we never know the whole story.

Thanks for your comments.  Stay tuned and I'll put up the newest listing which has been shot all over!

Barbara, I'll bet there's a great story that goes with that one! At least they kept a neat house! Sometimes being a perfectionist makes you tense...ha! Oh, and I love your welcome mat. Debra :-))

Thanks, Debra.  That welcome mat is something else!  I got the tip from another active rain person. There has to be a good story behind the bullets.  I'm not sure I want to know it though.  : )
