Northville was established in 1898. Northville at one time, was a farming area and today is a thriving residential and business community. Throughout Northville there are signs of their rural heritage, including rambling farm houses on unpaved roads, traditional neighborhoods and an open landscape.
Downtown Northville has a small-town atmosphere with Victorian era architecture in its Historic District and well-kept older homes built before the 1930s. Our "walk to" downtown boasts of old-fashioned street lamps, benches, specialty shops, galleries, theaters, restaurants, businesses, and preserved landmarks.
Every September in Northville is the Victorian Festival. The festival brings art, history and fun together. The downtown area turns into an old Victorian Village with music, storytellers and magicians. There are rides and old-fashioned games for children and at the Victorian Saloon there is entertainment for adults as well.
