Why Are We Blogging Anyway?

Reblogger
Real Estate Agent with Achievers Realty Group

It took me more than 50 reblogs to have the guts of writing my 1st blog last weekend.  And what I learned was that reblogging will somehow bring you a lot of feedbacks that will get you to what you want to discover about your niche, the new technology and the brains of the bloggers.  Thank you for inspiring me.

Why Are We Blogging Anyway?
I have to admit when I first joined Active Rain in January 2011, I had no idea where all this blogging was going to take me, and if it was even going to be a Good Return on my investment.  After reading Russel Ray’s latest featured post, How Much Are Active Rain Points Worth? I came up with the thought about am I blogging for points or blogging for business? Russel’s answer was easy, and figured out that all his points were worth 8 ¾ cents per point. Yes, Russel hit top of the leader board in Active Rain, and he has about 1.5 million points.

Blogging in the RainI have had many critics asking me why are you doing all that blogging and what is it getting you? I love how my friend and associate,Kristine Ginsberg, answered that question. Can we truly put a price on all the friendships and relationships that we have built here in Active Rain? I think not. It’s priceless in my opinion. Therefore, I decided that I was blogging for several reasons. First, to build relationships with other associates. Next, to move my business into another level. I was highly motivated when I saw the statement, “If you build it, they will come”. Many of you may remember this from the movie “Field of Dreams”, and it has inspired me to become a better blogger, since I am blogging to get more leads to build my business.

Finally, like Russel Ray, I am blogging for all those points. It seems that the more points that I get, the higher I move up the leader board in my city and state, and more Google recognizes my blogs too. I have learned an awful lot about using key words, and developing a writing style to attract some 135 subscribers in Active Rain to my posts. I am presently working with a couple of buyers who have found me from my blogging efforts on Active Rain. I have also received two referrals form another agents. Since I have not closed a deal yet, I am not able to put a price tag on it yet in relation to all my points like Russel did, but I can share with you that blogging has made a major impact on my education, my referral network, and most of all my friendships found here in Active Rain.

To all the bloggers in AR, Keep on Blogging for Points and Business. It will pay off for you one day, and you will see a Return on Your Investment. For all those Newbies out there, Let’s get started Today. Blogging has it’s rewards for those who have found the skill to do it.

Jose, Thanks for re-blogging me today. I am going over to check out your very first blog. Welcome to Active Rain too. You will want to join as many Groups as you can, and comment often as you did today on my post.

BTW, I love your background images. It looks so beautiful with all those pink flowers.
