Now if I timed this right, today is a very special day! I graduate! That's right I'm a big girl now with 100,000 points. That makes me move to the Silver Star Hall of Fame.
For 16 months I have been committed to blogging. 100,000 points to me a real accomplishment but the biggest accomplishment has been the commitment.
WOW, 16 months and so many changes. 16 months, I stuck with it! 16 months and some very special moments. Moments that have really changed my life.
Recently I have asked 3 people from the rain some information about themselves...Now I have been holding this information for some time. Yes for this special day...So Let's play a guessing game and figure out who these people are. 100,000 points...Whoop De Do...Activerainer's Here is a Mystery just for you!
Now there is no points involved only sheer fun...
I will give a couple of clue's....2 run groups on the rain.....2 are female.....all 3 brilliant

Mystery Guest #1- Random thoughts about life- "I’m a firm believer that you must be good to yourself…take time off and enjoy life. I’ve seen death come unexpected and know that you can never get yesterday back. So today is a present and I treat it as a true gift. I learned that the hard way and I worked 7 days a week for many years."

Mystery Guest #2- Who Inspires you? "My friend & mentor Jay Abraham, probably the smartest marketing person alive. Robin Sharma, if you like Deepak Chopra, you'll love Robin . Ayn Rand for her philosophy that was such a big part of my youth and is still a large part of who I am and how I live my life!"
Things you may not know about this person- "Loves to travel, loves piano, into video games reads astronomy and physics and an Animal lover."
What inspires you? Music...in this person's past life they composed/produced music for commercials(jingles). Maybe they could create an Activerain jingle...now that would be fun!
What is in store for you right now? "Right now we're working on several new marketing tools like interactive business cards (biz cards on steroids) and animated wallpapers for computer screens, a lot like screensavers but much more visible and great for branding yourself. Demos will be available soon." I am a man

Mystery Guest #3- What is the best advice to give to agents in our current markets? "KNOW YOUR STUFF. Be competent so you can be confident. Confidence is magnetic and even in a lousy market, a confident agent will have plenty of business. But you can't be confident if you don't know what you're doing. If you're unsure of your contracts, if you don't know your MLS inside and out, if you aren't a market expert, you're toast."
What are tools agents need today for a successful career? "One thing. Enthusiasm. Without it, you will fail. With it, all things are possible. Sounds trite, but it's so true."
How long were you an active Realtor? "I was an active agent from 1996 until 2006, so ten years. I took a year off and was an assistant to a top producer which opened my eyes to a whole new world. It was the first time I'd actually worked in a real estate office (I always worked from home, in my own little world) and I was stunned at the greed and self-serving attitude I saw there."
What do you see happening with the real estate market a year from now? I think things will level out. I think that once the mortgage markets figure out what to do, we'll all get back to business. Beyond that, I have no idea... I just go with the flow and adapt when I need to. I don't worry much about tomorrow! I have faith that the real estate and mortgage powers-that-be will sort it all out. I am a woman
"What is the best advice to give to agents in our current markets? "FOCUS ON YOUR SOI. I could talk about this for hours (and I do!), but in short... there are very few strangers out there waiting breathlessly for your call or your fancy postcard."
What books do your recommend for reading for real estate professionals? "The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. It's not about real estate, but about how your attitude and ambition can change your life. Your Successful Real Estate Career by Ken Edwards. It's very much along the same lines as SWS, attitude-wise. I think it's great. As many guru books as they want to read - Millionaire, Ferry, Hopkins, Zeller. Most of their stuff doesn't resonate with me at all, but I think it's important that every agent decide this for themselves. And, obviously their stuff works for many.
Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. Selling real estate is very tough on love and the happier you are at home, the more likely you will thrive in your real estate career. I think the Mars/Venus series is the best resource out there for improving your romantic relationship. Whenever I'm struggling in that arena, I pull out my trusty M/V guide, open it up and find my answer right there in front of me!"
One last thing, each of these 3 people have inspired me to be better...in most instances they have impacted your life as well. All three contribute to Activerain on a regular basis...2 of the 3 in the top 100 most subscribed...
Can you guess who these people are? Come play with me and let's have some fun! Look for further clues in comments throughout the day....watch some great interviews unfold...
