The Future has Arrived in McBain, MI

Real Estate Agent with Lake and Lodge Realty LLC

While driving through rural McBain this week we noticed something peculiar rising out of the cord fields. Seems technology has arrived in Northern Michigan in a big way. These giants aren't just big they are huge. Approx 475' to the top of the blades. A company called Heritage Sustainable Energy is building this wind farm and plan to have 20 to 30 when completed. Having been raised where two story buildings are tall these guys are amazing. If you plan on being in or around the McBain area these are a must see. You can see them all the way from Cadillac (where I first noticed them). Enjoy the drive and thanks for reading.

Hello Randy and VB likes new ways of creating free energy, etc. Some people don't like stuff like this because they feel it is a eyesore, but wind generating devises like this, solar panels, etc., are A-OK in my book and I think the whole country should be covered with them ...

All of us will be seeing more wind farms as we travel in the countryside.  Thanks for sharing.

Have an outstanding weekend and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments.

Wind Farm are a great source of alternative energy.  I hope that the community will  benefit for the excess.

Hey there Randy-congrats on having the future arrive in your area! There is a wind farm in the country up in central NY where I have a summer home and it is so cool. The one in Palm Springs that Russ is referencing is unreal-it goes on for miles it seems.
