The Los Angeles Times has created a great interactive map to help you learn more about each of these cities in the Southeast area of the Los Angeles county. Some of the Gateway Cities are: Long Beach, Signal Hill, Norwalk, Montebello, Downey, Paramount, Whittier, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, La Mirada, Bellflower, South Gate, Maywood, Lynwood, Huntington Park, Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Commerce, Vernon, La Habra, Lakewood, Cerritos, Artesia, Hawaiian Gardens, Hacienda Heights, Industry and La Puente.
The following cities are also considered to be parts of other regions in Los Angeles County: San Gabriel Valley: Montebello, Whittier; East Los Angeles: Commerce, Montebello, Pico Rivera, and Whittier; South Los Angeles: Compton, Lynwood, and Inglewood; Although Carson might seem like a 'natural' fit with the Gateway Cities, it is usually considered part of the South Bay.
