Alexandra-That is a beautiful hibiscus. Mom had a couple of bushes where she first lived in Va but there were a deep pink. The japanese beetles were terrible though and the spray for it did no good. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your area. Have a super weekend.

R & A, I can appreciate those so much more than the one in the median.  Park the car and enjoy a whiff of Fleur de Montecito while shopping.

Now there is a plant that we have here in the desert as well!  The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't clip them and bring them inside to enjoy.  They just wilt and die!  Have a good weekend-- and let's set up a time to talk on the phone.  K

And, those are just beautiful, Alexandra. A pretty picture. I imagine the street looks gorgeous with the hibiscus lining it.

I've always liked hibiscus, but both my mom's and our own were always covered with white fly. Mom finally gave up on them, as have I. I'll just visit them at the Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

Not your typical streetscape to be sure. I've hear Montecito mentioned, but have never visited. It sounds delightful.

A & R... Santa Barbara is one of my favorite places in SoCal... precisely for it's 'laid back' environment.  You two do a fantastic job making us salivate over the sights, sounds and tasty treats your town has to offer... especially the chocolate!  Love it!
