Alley behind Benton St. in LeavenworthI'm always fascinated (maybe obsessed) with the color changes as the seasons transition from summer to winter.  I've been to New England during the Fall but  can't help but think Washington (and Central Washington in particular) has some of the most fantastic displays of color during the Fall anywhere in the country.

I'm putting out a call for the best Fall foliage photos out there in the world of Active Rain.

Anyone have any photos they'd like to share?  I'm looking for your best Fall foliage photos.   Wish I had the authority to offer up some extra points but all I can offer are some bragging rights.

Do you have some Fall Foliage Photos you'd like to share?  Let's add some serious color to the pages of Active Rain!

Create your own blog entry, then post a link in the comments section below. Check back later and submit a vote for your favorite.   Have fun.

Here are my contributions:

Beautiful photos.  I just set my husband up with a Canon Rebel XTi a couple of telephoto lenses and an ultrawide angle zoom.  (Yes, the reason being he now photographs my houses for free!)  I have an old Canon Rebel film in the closet and it kills me that I stand and watch him take pictures.  I just might have to go get a battery and film for my camera and get some fall colors.

Charlie,  Did you post a photo?  I went to your blog but didn't find it.  Thanks for checking in.

Kim,  Oh... get a camera too.  It's so much fun to stop on the spur of the moment when you see a photo op.  I keep my camera in my purse so I am NEVER without it!

Troy:  Thanks.  When I'm driving around town this time of year I am constantly looking at the sky, where the sun and clouds are... looking for the next great photo opportunity.

Hi Perrin,  I think Money Magazine (and all those other national publications) already let out our secret!

I really timed the Fall colors well this year. Allyson and I spent 1.5 weeks in New England (New Hampshire and Maine) and then made it home to Cashmere and Leavenworth just in time for fall colors here.
Unfortunately, we forgot the camera at home and only have pics from our disposable camera.
I will try and post a local shot for you when I get a moment.

Carol - those are beautiful pictures, and like you, I LOVE looking at various fall foliage pictures.

I did a post of my own this past week of some fall colors in my area...

Geordie,  I'll watch for them.  Leavenworth and up the Tumwater Canyon toward Stevens Pass is one of the best places in the valley for  fabulous fall foliage photos.

Gena, In spite of the fact we know winter will follow Fall, it's worth the show.

Ann,  I checked out your photos.  Very nice!  Thanks!

WOW! These are some great shots Carol.  I'm not sure I can even come close to competing for any votes against yours!!  Let me see what I have in my photo folders:

Believe it or not, this is a "Fall" shot taken in the evening in Hawaii.  We don't have much
of a fall season there, but it was the right time of year to be fall.   B-)

Brad:  Oh My Gosh, that is a fabulous photo.  I know you don't really have a Fall foliage season but this is a fabulous fall shot for sure!  It should be on a post card. Thanks for sending it.

Carol, I am so glad you are sharing the color.  We really don't get any color any Houston and I do miss seeing those fall colors, although I don't miss raking the mess they make.  Our leaves don't fall until about December and then they just turn brown and fall.  We dont' have a lot of a mess because we mainly have pines which of course stay green all year. I plant fall flowers to get some fall colors.  Would those count for the fall foliage (lol).

Your photos made my day!  One thing I miss here in our beautiful desert is the changing of the leaves in fall.  Thank you, Carol!

Carol, the photo on the bottom left is especially stunning!

Here is a shot I took of an old hotel called the "Sylvia" here in Vancouver, BC. I am always fascinated by the vines turning bright red this time of year.
