Back before the turn of the century, be-heading was common.
It just so happened on this one day that 3 men were to lose the part that held most of their hair.
The first was put into the guillotine and when the blade dropped, it stopped about half way down. Now the law was at that time, if the first attempt did not work, you were to be set free.
The second man was put into the contraption and again the blade stopped half way down. He also was set free.
The third man was brought up and he says to the master..."You know, if you put some oil on the sides it will work much better.
Case in point!!!
