Toss Computer From WindowWithin our holiday period time of year increased stress just seems a 'natural.' From the Thanksgiving that passed I thought of some ideas in this area.

Two Tips For Reducing Stress In Your Life.

1) Managing Expectations. Here on Active Rain as an example I saw errors such as Proxy Error, Bad Gateway, and Service Temporarily Unavailable. I am not their technology department and can't fix this when these errors happen, so I say it is what it is. Adapt to it or do something else. Managing expectations properly will relieve your frustration.

2) Reduce unnecessary deadlines. Do you know when you create a deadline you create pressure? Like holiday travel with a plane with a departure time vs. a leisurely get in your car and drive and leave on your trip whenever you are ready. Deadlines are necessary, but NOT ALL THE TIME.

Here's to you working with realistic expectations and minimum deadlines in letting you not pull your hair out with stress.

For me, eliminating artificial deadlines took away massive amounts of stress.  I kept setting goals for myself but left little room for error.  Doing so was a recipe for disaster.

Eileen, STRESS??   Who has stress in this business?     I have some closings next week, and NOT ONE is smooth -- all due to lending.     One buyer decided to switch lenders at the 9th hour!   No Stress Here!

Thanks for this re-blog Eileen. I had almost forgotten about this topic from awhile back and need to re-read it myself again for my OWN sanity. Have yourself a great first day of Fall full day weekend.
