"Staging" A Corn Field?  Plasko's Farm Corn Maze in Trumbull CT Is Open!

What is it about family farms that is so appealing?  Plasko's Farm's slogan, "From Our Family Farm To Your Family Table" probably says it all.

Personal Note:  There's one elementary school classmate of mine that actually became what he always wanted to be:  a farmer.  Jeff's family had always been farmers in Fairfield, Connecticut, and he wanted to be one too.  Who knows what they want at such an early age?  Jeff did!  His nickname was "Plow Jockey", and now he owns and operates a huge plant nursery in New Hampshire.

So, back to Plasko's...

What do you do with a four-acre corn field after the harvest?  Carve a 1.5 mile maze into the 10' high stalks, of course!

What a great event for families or office outings.  And don't forget to pick up some apple cider donuts while you're there!

Some of the proceeds go to benefit "Swim Across The Sound" (St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation) cancer education and prevention programs.

I love going to corn mazes, always a fun activity for everyone.   Have never gotten the nerve to do one of the haunted ones though.    Great story too!   Dreams do come true!

Julia, it is amazing how some people "just know" what they want to be when they grow up --years before they are adults.  My son has ALWAYS wanted to be a pilot.  He is 15 now, and we are going today to fly his 36" model air plane.  PLASKO's corn maze looks like a lot of fun!!

That maze is amazing and really looks like a lot of fun-I would love to visit and bring my grandson when he is a year or two older!

Sounds like a good time. Is that the actual picture of the maze? It looks amazing.

Hi Yvonne:  Haunted?  <shudder>

Good for your son, Sonja!  Pilots are unique individuals!

Have fun, Sharon!

Joanna - they have "escape hatches" for little ones who get tired - isn't that cute?

Jeremy - is an arial photo taken by the owner's SON, who is a pilot!

Anna - I'm not sure - LOL!
