Jay's back porch image with wreathIt’s a balmy 11ºF with almost no wind, allowing me to remain on the porch with my (china, not stoneware) mug of (organically & shade grown, fair trade, Guatemalan roast) coffee warming my hands, and helping my brain fire on all synapses.

Daisy PortraitDaisy did not spend the night here last night—she’s in the “dog-house” at her (as she calls it) “Boardmanpack” home, for her antics on the computer yesterday. I think I am in the dog house (a little) as well for not practicing computer security, and thus giving the little critter on-line access.

I’m a little jealous of her, though. At last count, Daisy’s post has garnered 14 comments—our blog averages but 5.4 comments/post! It appears that good looks trumps age & wisdom every time—I don’t know if I’ll tell the boys at the café this.

This is an obvious segue into “comments” as related to our blog. We view ourselves as hosting an informative blog, from the point of view of the “working class,” who populate the coffee shop, and when the conversation goes in a direction that we feel is of interest to the AR community, we will post that conversation. We also view ourselves as hosting a social blog. We value your visits, the counter tells us we have many visitors, but doesn’t tell us who has visited. We also value your comments—even if they have no direct bearing on the post. Just inside the door on my cyber-porch, there is freshly brewed coffee of any variety you might desire, and at the coffee-shop there is an unlimited supply of virtually any beverage you may find appealing. So if you stop by—let us know, we’re glad to have you!

In the interest of full disclosure: Yes, in addition to the above, this is a blatant attempt to increase our comment/post average!

BTW: some of our associates may have noticed that we sometimes let you know we’ve visited by our sometimes irreverent and irrelevant comments.

Good Morning Guys!

Ahhh, leave Daisy alone - she DOES write well!

BTW - do you ever have real Kona?  I finally tried some the other day - it was great - but the price is NUTS!

Marc: WE have ALL varieties of coffee, virtually speaking. I'll have to try the real world Kona coffee, to see if it meets my exacting standards.

Good morning. I saw the daisy post and did not comment yesterday, though you know I am a regular reader and commenter. Heck, who doesn't like comments?

Some years ago, A smart publisher said, "If you want a book to sell, or a movie to succeed, write about a dog or Abraham Lincoln".  Sure fired success.  Perhaps someone knows something about Abraham's dog??

Linda: Those cookies just came out of my virtual oven!

The "organically and shade grown, fair trade, Guatemalan" coffee sounds delicious!  Fill me up.

What a loser, my dog gets more comments when she blogs than you do. :)
