Activities are starting to pick up at the Beach, and October has some great events coming our way!


Friday, October 1, 2011 there will be a book signing at Doc Fords,
708 Fishermans Wharf Drive, Ft Myers Beach


Doc Fords Fort Myers BeachAuthor and restaurant owner Randy Wayne White will be signing his books from  12-2pm and 4-6 pm. Books are available for purchase during the event.

And, you won't want to miss the entertainment starting at 7pm by the Chicago Mob, incorporating everything from Rhythm & Blues to Funk, Soul and classic hits, this is fun danceable music...done "Chicago style"



The 6th annual Pirate Festival is happening October 7 - 10, Columbus Day weekend. Lots of pirates on the streets, with music, vendors, activities for the entire family, and of course, plenty of good eats.

46th Annual Summerset Regatta

This year, The Caloosahatchee Marching and Chowder Society (CMCS) is proud to present the 46th annual Summerset Regatta.  The October 7-8-9 weekend is full of fun events for the entire family including racing, happy-hour events, outdoor poolside cocktail party, fabulous door prizes, and the awards banquet dinner.

The regatta’s shore-side activities will be headquartered at the Pink Shell Resort on Fort Myers Beach, with a beautiful beach and view of the Gulf of Mexico sunset.

Activities include:

                Offshore Sailing School Buoy Races
                West Marine Coastal Race
                Up to 8 Racing Classes
                WFPHRF BOTY Event
                Friday Skippers / Crew Meeting and Party
                Saturday Cocktail Party

The Yucatan Beach stand is having its 4th Annual Boo Bash

6:00 PM - 2:00 AM  Oct 31, 2011 The Yucatan is throwing the ultimate party with a costume contest with over $500 in cash prizes.

Spooktacular drink specials and "The Haunted Restaurant" will be decked out and transformed into a truly scary atmosphere. Of course there is always great food, fun and music at The Yucatan...come join the fun! Located at 250 Old San Carlos Blvd.
