Eagle Harbor is the only community in Clay County where residents are legally allowed to drive in the streets, but there are some rules. Eagle Harbor residents must register their privately-owned golf carts with Erika Washkill at Resident Services. Erika's email is ewashkill@hamptongolfclubs.com and her phone is 904-269-9300. Visit the Eagle Harbor Website  for more information about Golf Cart Rules and Regulations and to download the form necessary for registration. Please note residents must be 14 years of age, per Florida state law, and no driving on the sidewalks, even though they are wide and it is tempting :)

It sounds like Eagle Harbor has made the process very simple. I'm certain with your great weather the carts get a workout. Our CA CC&R's require Motor Vehicle Department registration. We found a solution in a  "slow moving" category of street legal carts.

I like the concept of being able to drive your Golf cart on the street with registration. Good local blog as it provides residents with information they may need.

Josh, thanks. We hope we sell our new listing quickly when we get it on the market.

Steve, they do indeed, espeically from the 14-16 year old crowd. Some people have those gas golf carts, but most have electric. Our County Commission granted an exception for our streets for electric golf carts.

Phil, we do not have a gated entrance, but I can understand why you think we would. We are a large neighborhood, with over 2800 homes, so there are lots of streets for golf carts to roam around.
