Ed and I were invited to Dinner by Owner/Developer Steve Phinny at the Luxury Development of Saguaro Ranch.
We just wanted to share our experience with you and how the development is progressing.
The food that was provided that evening was beautifully prepared, and was delicious. Like most real estate agents we eat out at a lot of restaurants, but very few have the ambiance of McClintocks at Saguaro Ranch. The Restaurant had just opened this year, and attention to detail has been given on every turn, from the old wood flooring, to the outside porch, and the roof deck restaurant. They will be opening an Argentinian Grill on the Roof Restaurant in the near future. The views from the restaurant mirror the views in the picture above, and at night one can see the twinkling lights of the city.
Currently one should bear in mind that one has to book at least two weeks in advance for a dinner reservation.
The Resort itself is positioned to be the premier luxury community of the new Marana Development corridor that comprises Dove Mountain, Tapestry and Saguaro Ranch.
The Ranch is very private, and measures have been taken to ensure the exclusivity and privacy of its residents. The entryway is accessible only through a tunnel that was blasted through a mountain. One can only visit the Ranch with an appointment to view. The Rustic guard gate is positioned immediately after one takes the journey through the tunnel. Escorts are available at the gate to take you to McClintocks Restaurant.
The views of the surrounding Catalina, Tucson and Santa Rita mountains ranges are incredible, and the Architectural Details of the homesteads currently under construction are varied with great use of natural materials. Considerable care has been take to ensure that all homes and estates blend into the stunning surrounding natural desert and Saguaros.
The lots vary from 4 to 5 acres in size, and building height restrictions ensure that everyone will have great surrounding views and privacy.
The Guest Ranch that is yet to be built, will accommodate family and friends visiting residents of Saguaro Ranch. There will be around 60 guest casitas. Numerous amenities will also be available at the Guest Ranch. These include a post office and general store, Ranch House with a living room, library, reading room, music room and boardroom. There will also be an organic farm. Great hiking is afforded in the area together, with biking and bridle paths; swimming pools; spas; game courts for such sports as tennis, beach volleyball and bocce; Art Barn for arts and crafts; outdoor amphitheater; indoor theater; recording studio; and observatory. The Ranch itself will also feature a visiting artists and writers program. National and international artists, writers, musicians and craftspeople will be invited to the community to inspire and educate residents and their surrounding family.
Saguaro Ranch will also feature a full service Horse Ranch with stables, horse training facilities, a courtyard, loping tracks, porches, and a covered riding arena. There will be a bunkhouse for the staff of live-in ranch hands that will accommodate horse enthusiasts. There will also be Amateur trail riding, dinner rides, and other equestrian-related activities.

Golf memberships are being offered for the Gallery Golf Club that currently hosts the Accenture Golf Tournament in February of each year. The new Ritz Carlton Resort will eventually host the Tournament when finished in 2009.
