Natural Beauty of Wildlife

As you drive around town, you can't help but admire nature's beauty. If you are lucky, you might just come across a herd of deer.  My friend, Ken Terry, was in Genoa (Nevada's oldest town est. 1851 about 40-minute drive from Reno) and took these pictures.

I live here in Reno because of the World Class recreational opportunities the area provides.  Within an hours drive from home, there are a dozen or so ski areas, beautiful Lake Tahoe, unlimited mountain bike riding, a variety of lakes for fishing, boating, and sun bathing.  Downtown Reno has a world class Kayak Park with an annual river festival and professional kayak contest.  If I were a fly fisherman I could fish the fabulous Truckee River just minutes from home.  I might have to take that up when time allows, there's so much to do and so little time.  The summer months in Reno are booked with outdoor music events and concerts in the park.  Shall I mention sunshine 300 days per year and very low hummidity.  Yes, it's a dry heat in the summer.

Shall I say more?

Ok, I will.  The mountains often get storms that drop 3 to 6 feet of snow over a couple days.  You can get waist deep powder right off the lifts!
