Super job as usual Shar! I love the pieces you chose that enhance the wallpaper and fireplace.

Awesome job!  Love the "what would the buyer think if it were not staged" thought process here!

Shar, another confirmation that Professional Stager can work with any decor challenges. Love how that ugly from the fist impression wall paper compliments dining area now. Such a difference between "before" and "after" no wonder it sold in no time.

Thank you Denise. I wish I lived in your area too. It's warmer in January!

Thanks Joan. The home owner was thrilled and the Realtor's emails said "I am still singing your praises".

I work on a lot of little houses Michael, let me at it! LOL

Absolutely it pays to hire me Will! :)

Huzzah? I haven't heard that one before Brian but thank you I hope. ha

The wallpaper was a toughie Janice. I had to show it modern and okay in the short term for the potential buyers. I think the black helped.

Thanks Sharon. I figured if I thought it as a buyer they would too!

It really toned down that wallpaper didn't it Anna? I was kind of surprised myself by how much. Thank you.

Thanks so much Tatyana. I really appreciate that very much.

Shar ~ What a fun post to see your brilliant transformations as well as what the potential buyers were "thinking!"  Angling the two loveseats in the first room is a clever way to create interest there, since there's nothing else to look at.

( BTW, what is the white "thing" in the wallpapered shelving area, near the dining room?  For the life of me I can't figure out what that is!)

Shar - You've made the place look so great, that I have an incredible urge to run out and purchase some tartan wallpaper!  Ok, well maybe not, but this is a great dialogue on how home buyers will view a non-staged home versus a staged home.  Nice!

You leave no question as to how valuable home staging can be on a vacant home. Magic? No. It's your home staging expertise as witness in these home staging before and after pictures.

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Shar - you really transformed what was dated in wallpaper to show buyers how they could modernize and live until they're ready for a project.  Great job!

That's so sweet Wendy, thank you.

Ha, Maureen. It's a heater. Gas I think. What I am thinking is that this huge room was an addition put on in the 70's as it sits behind the garage, you have to walk through the kitchen to get there, and the house is a 50's rambler. It must get chilly in there, I don't know!! With that huge of a fireplace you wouldn't think so but the fireplace is wood so not easy to light every day.

This was definitely a home staging success story Peg....no doubt about it!

Do you think you could find that wallpaper Sally?? Hmm.... Thanks so much. Staging definitely helped take the attention away from the wallpaper which may have turned many buyers away.

Thank you Kathy....those are such nice words and much appreciated. Thank you for the feature.

Sometimes that is what you gotta do Michelle when the house cannot be made perfect. Show the buyer how it can look until they are ready or have the funds to make the change.

Shar, I am so sorry I didn't comment on this one up till now.  I read it when you first posted it but had to read and run!  Anyhow, I absolutely love the way you worked with the wallpaper and the fixtures.  It looks as though the furniture was made specifically for this home!  It is wondderful!

Thank you Laura, that is so sweet. Oh, I carved and whittled the furniture in my warehouse the day before, then upholstered those few pieces that morning. ;-)

Hi Shar--Gold stars for that magnificent transformation.  No wonder that house didn't sell.  All you saw before were cavernous spaces and yucky wallpaper.  Your staging made that home come alive.  Congratulations.  I am sure you have very happy clients.

HI Shar, my thoughts exactly!  Great post. Love the way you tell a story. Great furniture selections, the wallpaper hardly seems too awkward now.
