Statistics Can Be Fun in Wilton CT 06897!

How many sunny days do you have in your neck of the woods? I used to have a teacher from California who complained that our winters were all cloudy days. That made me notice all of the cloudy days, rather than the sunny days. I used to think we in Wilton, CT 06897 had only about 20 days all year without sun. I found out I was wrong.

I wonder what this chart would look like in Arizona? or California? or Maine? or Seattle?

I love the sun, and therefore I think if it peeks out, I consider it a sunny day.

I am very happy to know that Wilton, CT gets beautiful sunshine 2/3 of the time. Isn't it interesting how the bad weather seems to overshadow the great weather?

It's raining as I write this - I hate rain too (notwithstanding the garden.) We have a cloud cover that settles over Chicago sometimes around December through March that just won't let up. I remember one year when there was a particularly long stretch of dark days that the sun finally peeked through one morning. My husband was at work (downtown Chicago in an office with lots of windows) and all the traders stood up and cheered!

Margaret -That is a crazy story! I love Chicago, but the winters are colder and rawer than ours! I have never actually counted our dreary winter days, but one of my teachers who was from California did years ago...
