Motivational Monday-Do You Admit To Your Mistakes or Do You Blame Others?

I don't know about anyone else but I grew up around so many people that loved loved loved to play the victim, and had an excuse for everything and why when something went wrong and it was never their fault. I think those attitudes kind of set the tone for my mind set, never be the victim, accept the fact the crap is going to go wrong, you're going to trip and fall on your face a few times, but instead of sitting there crying about it get up dust yourself off, be aware of what the problem was, but keep moving.

I learned that victims never learn from their mistakes. They will keep making the same mistakes over and over again and always have someone else to blame for their failures. When presented with solutions they will have every single excuse on why not to proceed in that postive direction.

In business and in life making mistakes is what helps us grow, and at times gives us strength. The quicker you acknowledge the mistake, admit to it, the quicker you can correct the problem and move one. It's not a failure as long as you learn from it and correct it.

Another example is personally, I am a very clumsy girl.. I have literally tripped and fell on my face so many times. Every time I trip the longer I sit there crying about it, the more attention I am going to grab (that I don't want) the more humiliation I am going to suffer, and the harder it is going to be to get back up.  I have found the best solution to my clumsiness is jump back up as quick as I fell down, throw my arms up in the air and yell "DISMOUNT", it's acknowledging I made a mistake instantly, picking myself back up, not letting the humilation keep me from moving forward, going at it from that approach usually get a few applauses and a lot of giggles.

Life is about growth, making mistakes so you can correct them is part of that growth.  The longer you put off admitting your mistakes the longer you are going to hinder your growth!
