Classic Car Show comes to Katy Texas
The 2011 Lone Star Regional Car Show will be held on October 1, 2011 at La Centerra at Cinco Ranch in Katy Texas. La Centerra is located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd and the show will be open from 10 A.M. till 3:00 P.M. This event is sponsored by the American Motors Owners Association and presented by the American Motors Club of Houston. Registration is being held from 8:00 AM until 10:00 A.M. The 2009 show was also held at La Centerra.
The Houston Club meets the second Tuesday of every month at Hollow BBQ located at 101 Heights Blvd. Houston Texas in case you or your family have a vehicle and want to join the club.
The American Motors Club of Houston was formed back in 1983. Its purpose is to encourage use of, aide owning, enjoyment of owning and restoration of any American Motors pr4oduced car.
The Lone Star Regional event is open to all AMC, Jeep, Hudson and Nash vehicles made prior to 1988. Believe it or not drag racing will be held after the show is over at nearby Star Raceway Park. There will be no formal judging but there are awards for such things as long distance, People’s favorite, La Centerra choice and Participants choice. The Regional will be celebrating the forty year anniversary of the Javelin AMX.
There are a lot of folks in the Katy and surrounding areas that love car shows and this one should be on everyones attend list.
