PRAYER: NEVER TOO SOON AND NEVER TOO MUCH

By
Real Estate Agent with Reliant Realty in Nashville, TN TN License# 00232013

Sweet PPRAYER: NEVER TOO SOON AND NEVER TOO MUCH.  Like a newborn child, prayer is a gift from God.  Gently held close to the heart, and embraced with awe, this gift is available to each of us.  It has no office hours, no limited warranty, and requires no CE approved course.  It enriches our day, strengrthens our resolve, and reaffirms our faith.

The child in this photo is now six years old.  She possess a bright confidence in what is right, and has a gentle & loving spirit.  Jesus said, "A little child shall lead them."  We can possess that confidence in that which is right, and embue that gentle & loving spirit.

Think of the spiritual song, "Err you left your room this morning, did you think to pray..."  There are days and events that try mens' souls; and as REALTORS®, we experience our share.  Maintaining a positive mental attitude, having the resolve to be ethical and honest, and being prepared to face adversity call for all the strength we can muster.  Anger, vendictivness, jealousy and greed are ever present in our daily lives; and brief moments of frustration, exhaustion, and despair can overtake the strongest of us.

We work together to accomplish a common mission on every contract, and all have had moments of feeling like the other agent is not holding up their end--angry words, wrongful thoughts may rapidly overpower any of us.  At those moments, this photo of my Sweet P struggles to take center stage in my thoughts and actions.  "Except you become as a little child, you cannot enter into heaven."  PRAYER: NEVER TOO SOON AND NEVER TOO MUCH!

Let each of us pray for one another, for personal strength, and for that which is right.  Should I ever be blessed to work with you, it is my prayer that we each be strengthend by our prayer one for the other, and that our lives become blessings in the lives of those whom we serve.  PRAYER: NEVER TOO SOON AND NEVER TOO MUCH!

I think we forget, and prayer, however one does it or thinks about it, is so important. Positive is the way to go!

Joni and Andrea, thank you for your comments and support.

Do you remember the first time you drew a circle with a compass?  Planting that point on the center dot and then awkwardly turning it to make a perfect circle--wow!!!  That was so easy, and the results were so right!  Well Prayer is the point on my compass: it has to be centered on God (not me), and then my life has a clear & complete circumference.  Inside that circle is everthing of importance, and everyone I meet.  Everything has a clear point of reference, and it helps me stay out of the way of doing what is right.

Whenever I center things on "ME" the circle becomes like an out-of-balance tire--I go thump-thump-thump through my day.  I hate those thump-thump-thump days.  Again, my thoughts go back to the song: "Err you left your room this morning, did you think to pray?  Did you suit for loving favor?"

On those days it is such a blessing to find/know those like YOU who seek that same anchor of the soul.  "God loves you, I love you, and that's the way its going to be..."

PRAYER: NEVER TOO SOON AND NEVER TOO MUCH.

Hello Valarie.  Thank you for taking time to visit.  It is good to hear from you, and you are absolutely correct: We can never pray too much.

WE NEED PRAYER and  WE NEED TO PRAY.  Ole Satan loves to convince us that "I don't have time to pray", "I don't need prayer", and "I can pray about this later."  He also loves to put in our thoughts the notion that "I'm not sure God hears my prayers."

Now, God may not answer my prayer in the time and fashion I expect; but HE ALWAYS HEARS MY PRAYER, AND HE ALWAYS TURNS IT TO MY GOOD:

I ask for candy, and He gives me His Sweet love.

I ask for monetary gain, and He gives me the Coin of Self-worth.

I ask for intervention in my struggles, and He gives me a map to happiness.

I ak for wisdom, and He gives me His Word.

I ask deliverance from my enemies, and He gives me Jesus.

Spread the word: prayer changes things--prayer changes me.

WOW I love the post.  Without prayer and God's word, I don't know where I would be now!  We all need to be reminded to pray for our colleagues!

Sybil and Tim, thank you for taking time to read my blog.  I posted it in September 2011, and while working on my Google + sight, I ran across it in the search engine.  I had no idea it was there, so I opened it and emailed my daughter a copy to share with my granddaughter (now 9 y.o.).  Apparently, it did something in ActiveRain, because I received email notice of each comment.

I appreciate your thoughts, and hope in this time of bitterness with so much cruel and false accusations in the news, that we do not get drawn into the frey.  ActiveRain is a great place to lounge in the peaceful pool of harmony among competitive people.  See, REALTORS are such a vital part of American life, and praying one for another is an honor. Keeping you in my prayers.  May God use you in ways you would never expect.

Anna and Suzanne, I appreciate your comments and encouragement.  There is so much EVIL in the world, and I find my self like a man trying to put out a three alarm fire with a squirt gun.  Our National leadership seems to frustrate far more than it soothes.  We as REALTORS® stand in such a unique place of service: people turn to us in search of a home or to sell one; and they soon find a dependable friend who cares about THEM beyond any sales commission.  Let us hold a bright light high in the air by our efforts and our prayers.
