Real Estate Outlook for 2011 and 2012

According to Lawrence Yun, the Chief Economist of the National Association of Realtors the real estate outlook for the next two years is improving.

Home sales recovery and home sales will continue to be slow. The job market will improve over the next two years. Mortgage rate to increase, but compared to the stricter underwriting standards not as impactful.

Outlook is 1 more sale a month so let's spin it to look good. I wonder if he reads his on reports. Some say it will be 10 years before improvement but what  does it all mean. It means he works for NAR  who can't afford for more agents to drop out so for from now till JAnuary we will get these reports then we will hear the bad news becaus eby then renewal period will be over.

Kathryn,  I do think we are seeing a slight upturn in the number of unit sales.  I saw a report today that Charlotte prices were up .01%.  Considering that prices are down 31% this hardly seems like an improvement,  except that I would perfer not to see a return to hyper inflated prices...
