I was a guest speaker at Connecticut's Own Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) Chapter!
Hats off to the Connecticut chapter of RESA (Real Etate Staging Assn) - now I finally know what it stands for. LOL. This is a fun chapter and they really get along and build on each other's ideas.
I was lucky enough to be thi month's guest speaker. We discussed...guess what? Flooring. I had fun and it seemed that they did, too. We discussed ways to add value to your home (via the floors) and what costs the most vs. least and biggest return on your dollar. Not my best hair day, but fun nonetheless.
If you are a stager in CT, give them a call and join the fun. It will really help your business.
Connecticut's Own Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) Chapter!
Just back from tonight's meeting of The RESA-CT chapter meeting! We formed earlier this year, with Neci Marr as President, and Birgit Anich as President-Elect. Other meeting topics have included topics such as business planning and online social networking. Tonight we were pleased to welcome our own Debbie Gartner, "The Flooring Girl", to tell us more about flooring choices available for both Home Staging and Interior Design uses.
(L-R: Wenke Ringel, Laurie Noble, Debbie Gartner, Birgit Anich, Neci Marr, Judy Klem; I'm the photographer!)
The missions of RESA-CT are to spread the word about Staging's value to the real estate industry, for agents and sellers alike. We also endeavor to promote on-going industry education for ourselves.
Thanks to Debbie, for scaling the difference in flooring options in terms of cost and desireability.
My take-away? Per Debbie:
Perhaps the least expensive "new" flooring option is to refinish hardwood floors hiding under the old carpet. "Leverage the asset", she says! We agree!
